Sri Maha Saraswati Devi Avataaram
'aaSvayuja' Mother Durga is decorated in the form of 'Sri Sri Saraswati Devi'. Sri Saraswati Devi is the goddess of wisdom, providing the world with her wisdom and knowledge and leading them to the path of enlightinment. The second one in the sakti trinity is viewed as:
chintaamaNi j~naana neela GhaTakiNyamtarikshatah
mahatpuurvaaScha saktaivaassarasvatyah prakiirtitah
Chintaamani Saraswati, Jnaana Saraswati, Neela Saraswati, Ghata Saraswati, Kini Saraswati, Amtariksha Saraswati and Maha Saraswati. These are the Seven forms of Saraswati as referred in the 'Meru Tamtram'. The reason for decorating Mother Durga in this form in the temple abode the 'Indrakeelaadri' in Vijayawada is because being one of the Sakti trinity Mother Saraswati slayed the demons 'Sumbha'and 'Nisumbhu'. This decoration of Mother Saraswati has gained much reputation among all the decorations as today is the day of 'Mulanakshatra' the star under which the Goddess took birth. Hence lakhs of people come to see her during this time, and recieve her blessings. We too should join these devotees in offering our obeisance and reciet the following chant:
sarasvati namastubhyam varadae kaamaruupiNi
vidyaarambham karishyaami siddhidbavatumae sadaa,
padmapatra viSaalaakshee padma kaesaravarNinee

Sri Maha Lakshmi Avataaram
During the dasara 'saranavaraatri' festivies 'panchami' of the month of 'aaSvayuja' Mother Durga is decorated in the form of 'Sri Maha Lakshmi Devi' MahaLakshmi is the manifestation of wealth and prosperity. In the history of 'Durgasaptasati', she takes in the forms of the ultimate power Mahakali, MahaLakshmi, MahaSaraswathi to destroy the evil deamons. One of the three powers(sakti) is Sri Maha Lakshmi. Displaying incredible valor she slayed the asura named 'Mahishudu' with ease and gained the name of 'Mahishamardhi'. It is with this manifestation that she is being decorated here in Vijayawada, in the temple, atop the 'Indrakeelaadri' hill.

Since the Mother Kanaka Durga is one of the forms of Mahalakshmi in the sakti trinity, the main temple is surrounded with the eigth forms of Astalakshmi's. During this 'saratnavaraatri' period Maha Lakshmi takes in the form of AstaLakshmi's and blesses us with prosperity. Sri Maha Lakshmi is depicted as having lotuses in her two hands, being praised by the 'Gajaraju' seated on the lotus itself. The prosperous form of Maha Lakshmi Devi is to be seen and While offering your obeisance to the Goddess recite the following chant:

Sri Lalita Tripura Sundari Devi
During the dasara 'saranavaraatri' festivies 'chavithi' of the month of 'aaSvayuja' Mother Durga is decorated in the form of 'Sri Lalita Tripurasundari Devi'. The second 'Sakti'(power) in the trinity is Lalita Devi LAlita is the Tripura sundari.Since she exists even before Brahma ans Vishnu and Mahaeswara(Shiva), she is called Tripura Sundari. Lalitha Tripura Sundari is one of the sakti in'Sri chakra adhistanam',being the Goddess of the'Panchakshari Maha Mantram' she takes care of the devotees who pray to her. Within the temple of Sri Kanaka Durga in Vijayawada where Samkarachaarya has commissioned the 'Sri Chakra yamtam', and the cardinal of this 'Sri Chakra' is also Sri Lalita Devi. The one who can get rid of even severe poverty and bless us with wealth is the Goddess Lalitha Tripura Sundari. Previously, the pujas(prayers) were done in the 'Vamaachari' tradition. During that time, the tenth 'Jagatguru' Sri Vidyasamkarulavaaru' has replaced the 'vaamaachaari' tradition to 'Dakshinachaari' tradition, eversince the daily prayers have been conducted in 'Dakshinaachari' tradition. The revered Guru also with his divine determination comissioned the 'Sri Chakrayantram' Since then the angry manifestation of the 'Chandi' has been turned
to soft and peaceful manifestation of the idol now present in the temple which looks after her devotees with kindness and compassion. Hence the 'Sri Chakrayantram' here is always praised daily with 'Lalita Astottaram' and 'Lalita Sahasra Namavali'. There is no difference between the Goddess and the 'Srichakram' and worshipping one is as good as worshipping both. The decoration of Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari Devi are done asdepicted in the Lalita Sahasranaama stoatram as "sachaamara ramaavaaNii savyadakshita saevitaa"meaning Lakshmi Devi, Saraswati Devi standing on either side of the Lalitha Devi and attending to her by swaying fans. The Godess Lalitha Devi in the middle is depicted smiling and holding a sugarcane in one hand, and seated in the chest of Lord Shiva , radiant with fairness. While offering your obeisance to the Goddess recite the following chant:
praatah smaraami lalitaa vadanaaraavimdam
bimbaadharam pRdhula mouktikaSoabhinaasam'
AkarNadeerGanayanam maNikumDalaaDyaam

Sri Lalitha Tripura Sundari Stotramu

Dear One, Tripura is the ultimate, primordial Shakti, the light of manifestation. She, the pile of letters of the alphabet, gave birth to the three worlds. At dissolution, She is the abode of all tattvas, still remaining Herself

Sri Annapoorneswari Devi avataaram
'aaSvayuja' Mother Durga is decorated in the form of 'Sri Annapoornesvarii Devi'. Food is the form of God, food is the source of energy for every living being. The one who provides us with such food is Annapoorneswari. 'nityannadaneswari'(provider of daily food), 'Nitaalaaksha praaneswari, Annapoorneswari provides for not only for us, her children, but also to every living being. Hence helps in sustaning life on earth. The abode of annapoorneswari is Varanasi. The Lord of this land Sri Visveshswara's consort is the Godess Annapoorneswari Devi. Hence the name Kasi Annapoorneswari. Annapoorneswari is also one of the divine forms of Mother Durga. The reason for decorating the Godess in the form of Annpoorna is to inform of her importance. When her consort and the great God of destruction Maha Shiva also had to beg infront of her, and she had given him food. This is shown in the decoration. What we have to understand by this is that a Mother is always loving and caring towards her children. Every mother wishes to feed her children and she would go to any extrems to do that. Similarly Mother Durga transforms herself to Annapoorna to provide for her children. That is what pleases her. She is providing for her own husband as he comes
begging to her, here all the human life is considered to be the forms of Shiva and thus Annaporna is providing to all living beings. When we have faith in her we inturn would become Annapoorna and will be providing for those who approach us with hunger. There is nothing more rewarding in the world than to feed the hungry. Hence amoung all donations donating for the hungry is more deserving. We have to see the importance of this decoration of Devi and be inspired to serve. We have to provide for the hungry and pray that Mother Annapoorna could make us sufficient in heart and mind to carry on her task as much as we could.

Sri Gayatridevi Avataaram
'aaSvayuja' Mother Durga is decorated in the form of Sri Gayatri Devi. She is the mother of all vedas and the creator of all mantras. She radiates in five different colors, illuminates with five heads and is primary in 'Sandhyavandanam'(evening prayer). The power of recieting the 'Gayatri mantra' is enormous. Abrahmin should wear hi 'janjyam' and should definitely reciet the 'Gayatri mantram'. This 'Gayatrimantram' is of two kinds 'laghu gayatri mantram' and 'bruhadgaayatrimantram'. If we perform our daily evening prayers and chant the 'Gayatri mantram' for thousand times we will attain 'vaksudhi'(clarity of speech).
