Meaning : House restricted, and wife is troublesome.
illu kaTTi chuuDu peLLi chuuDu.
Meaning : Build a house and see, Perform a wedding and see.
eetakaayatoe taaTikaaya.
Meaning :
eena gaachi nakkala paalu chaesinaTlu.
ee uuri kaavuuremta duuramoa, aa uuriki ee uuruu amtae duuram
Meaning :The distance from this town to that town, is the same as the distance from that town to this.
(Before complaining that somebody did not do something for you, consider doing the same for them. Afterall you get what you recieve, hence the saying)
uTTikaTTuku uuraegutaaraa.
Meaning : Tie it to the head and roam around.
( What are we going to do with all the money we save without helping others, are you going to tie it to the head and roam around.)
uTTikekkalaenamma svargaanikekkuddaa!
Meaning : Can a person who cannot climb the attic, reach the sky!
(If you cannot reach the smaller goals in life how will you reach the major goals)

hi, when you are publishing about proverbs please make sure your know the real meaning of it, just don't ruin the value with your half knowledge in telugu. for example "illu irkatamu, ali markatamu" has a very deep sensual meaning you may not have clue. please be careful in defining proverbs and don't hesitate to consult experts and seniors.

"illu irakatamu, alu marakatamu". This proverb meant the following.
If Alu(wife) looks like a Marakatamu(Monkey),i.e.,If Wife is not beautiful,one can avoid extra-marital issues (which may arise due to beautiful women!)
Similarly,if illu(home) is Irakatam (small),one can avoid frequent flow of relatives!
