The children on whom we pour the fruit are to be woken early in the morning and bathed. Then they are dressed in new dress or their best dress and a kumkuma tilakam should placed on his forehead. An oil deepam has to be lit and mangala harati is to be recited infront of the Lord Krishna and then to the children then the fruits are first poured over Krishna and the three times on the children.
