Sankranti is almost here and to us the joy of colorful 'muggulu' festivities has arrived. Ladies of the house wakeup early in the morning and sprinkle the front of their houses with 'kallapi' (water mixed with cowdung) and use rice flour or muggu powder to put beautiful 'muggulu' in front of their houses, this then they decorate with colours, or flowers or 'gobbillu' (cowdung decorated with kumkuma, turmeric and flowers).
