Bonalu is a folk festival usually celebrated with pomp and joy in the telangana and rayalaseema regions of Andhra Pradesh. Bonam means 'bojanam' (meals), during the month of 'ashadam' the people give offering of rice and milk in earthen pots, to the mahakali for granting all their wishes.
