Proverbs

Sametalu - are telugu proverbs. They are witty and funny and are in common usage.
amgaTiloa annii unnaayi alluni noaTloa Sani.
Meaning : though everything is available right in the front yard, the son-in-law has bad luck in his mouth.


amtya nishThuuram kannaa aadi nishThuuram maelu.
meaning: If bad is supposed to happen , better early than at the end.(If something bad happens when starting a new project, people say that it is for the best that it happened while starting the project so you can rectify it quickly rather than stopping the entire thing at the end.)
amdani pamDlaku arrulu chaachinaTlu.
meaning: spreading your arms for an unreachable fruit(When people try and fail in an attempt it is common to say that he was reaching for an unreachable fruit)



amdarikii naenu loakuva naaku nambi loakuva.
meaning: everyone looks down upon me and I look down upon 'nambi'(that's how it works right.... When you are in a society there are the differences in caste, creed and social stature)

amdaridi okadaari ulipi kaTTedoka daari.
meaning : everyone takes one route and the broom takes another(For good or bad, when some one deters from the regular, or usual routine this proverb is used)

amdhunaki addam chuupinaTTu.
meaning: to show a mirror to the blind(the proverb self explanatory, what could be achieved by showing a mirror to the blind)
amditae siga amdakapoatae kaaLLu.
meaning: If you can reach its the hair, else its the feet(This proverb is usually used to refer to people who change with time. When they are in a higher ground, they catch your hair, meaning they get what they want by demand. But if the same person is down, they reach for ur feet, meaning they get what they want even by begging.)
